Kaori had managed to regain a little of her strength and was now venturing into this unknown environment. She was still wandering in the fog and began to find the time long in this universe. What happened to her ? Where was here exactly: Paradise? Purgatory? She felt especially alone and idle and that, that was really starting to annoy her.  

Why was she there? She ventured a little further into the mist ...  

That's when she saw him !

Saeko knocked on Mick's door, she had left him barely half an hour earlier.  

- We need to look inside your apartment again, she told him rushing inside the building of the american..  

- What? What are you talking about?

And rushing into Mick's and Kazue's apartment, the inspector began to explore every nook and cranny of each room.

- Hide! Leave now ! You're a fucking mirage, so fuck off! I feel guilty enough as it is! he murmured.  

- Yes, that's it. And anyway, you'd rather stay a coward by avoiding to face Kaori! I know she has a hell of a blow with her club but still ...  

He was really tough that guy.  

- Come on, open your eyes and go see her!  

- ....  

- Okay, as you wish ... Anyway, I went to fetch her. I suspected that you would refuse ... The two stubborn that you are ... It should not be long now, I'll leave you two alone together.  

What ? What had he said? She was going to come! Certainly his conscience was playing strange games on him ...

Mick grabbed his car keys and ran out of his home. He was angry against Saeko. She should have let him go after this guy through the city, instead of confining him to look for details on site. He would have definitely eliminated the danger posed by this man ... His rage was increased tenfold when the engine refused to start.  

- You, it's not the time to let me go, he said to his car which had all the trouble of the world to start.  

Finally, the vehicle agreed to respond, and it is with the tires squealing on the asphalt that the american emerged from his garage.  

He had to go to the clinic as quickly as possible, check all the corners to avert the danger. He had to save her. He loved her too much to lose her.  

And for once, Kazue won the first place in his heart and his thoughts.

They found it on top of a cupboard, the ball had crossed a photo frame and stuck itself in the wall behind the frame.  

Saeko didn't even had the time to react that Mick was already gone. They had taken some time to find the second ball and now they knew that the target of the killer was actually Kazue. She alone could now replace the pieces of the puzzle...
